Feminist Endowed Lecture Series: An Afternoon With Dr. Kristie Dotson
Dr. Kristie Dotson, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Michigan State University, will discuss three metaphors from U.S. Black women’s social theory -- jeopardy, interstices, and intersectionality -- that highlight three different ways of approaching our social world. By understanding the different epistemic orientations embedded in each metaphor, we can become familiar with their different scopes and come to see them as complimentary.
