ANGRY BLACK WOMEN: An Evening Of Monologues

The "Angry Black Woman" is a race-gendered myth and stereotype that promotes anti-Black and anti-BlackWoman thoughts, beliefs, and practices in our society, and attempts to keep Black Women in a simultaneous space of subordination, servitude, and silence.

We are seeking performances by Cal State LA Black women students, staff, and faculty - spoken word, dance, monologues, short videos, poetry, etc... to challenge and embrace the myth with their narratives, in their voices, and in their way.

For more visit us at Cross Cultural Centers, 2nd floor, University Student Union.
